Once known as the most dangerous walkway in the world, the fully restored Caminito del Rey is now one of Andalusia's most spectacular nature experiences. Pinned to the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, this private guided hike offers breathtaking views and an unforgettable adventure.
Getting tickets for the Caminito del Rey can be extremely difficult as they sell out months in advance. Booking this private tour guarantees your entry. Moreover, I will manage all transport logistics from Malaga or your hotel, ensure your safety, and share fascinating geological and historical facts about the Gaitanes Gorge that you won't find on the info boards.
We begin with a comfortable, private transfer from your accommodation through the beautiful Andalusian countryside, arriving directly at the northern access point of the trail.
We will walk the spectacular 8km route at your own pace. You will marvel at the sheer 100-meter vertical drops and the roaring Guadalhorce river below, crossing the famous suspension bridge at the end.
I am a lifelong Malaga local who has spent years exploring every corner of our beautiful region. My passion is showing visitors the authentic soul of Andalusia, far beyond the typical tourist paths.
Watch Ruben introduce you to the highlights of Malaga, right from the iconic Plaza de la Merced.

This tour includes private transport from your hotel in Malaga or the Costa del Sol, a professional guide, and guaranteed entry tickets to the Caminito del Rey walkway.
Not at all! The fully restored walkway opened in 2015 with modern safety features including handrails, mesh barriers, and solid concrete paths. It is safe for anyone with reasonable fitness, including children over 8 years old.
The total route is approximately 7.7 km (4.8 miles) and takes 3-4 hours at a comfortable pace. The boardwalk section clinging to the cliff face is about 3 km long. The rest is a scenic nature path.
No special equipment is needed. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes with good grip (no sandals or flip-flops allowed). A hat, sunscreen, and water are recommended. Hard hats are provided at the entrance.
Official tickets sell out weeks (often months) in advance, especially for weekends and holidays. Booking your private tour at least 3-4 weeks ahead is strongly recommended to guarantee your preferred date.
